Mango Groves

The Mango Groves development covers a 7-acre site and will upon completion be home for 20 beautiful villas, each with their own swimming pool. Entrance to the villas is through a set of 6 metre double wrought iron gates, which are manned 24 hours a day. Beyond the gates is a sweeping drive made up of small white seashells. Each house has a small boundary wall to the front, and a path leading to the front door. A second drive is also present for parking where required.

The grounds in their entirety have been landscaped to reflect the vivid colours and fruit life of The Gambia. You will find over a 100 bougainvilleas on any one plot, which give brilliant colours of red, pink, white, orange and purple. Along with Mango trees, banana plants, orange and pear trees, eucalyptus trees and coconut trees.

The backs of the properties have been designed with privacy in mind for swimming, lying on the hammocks or sun loungers. Many properties have a fire pit acting as a centre point for social evenings and gatherings, others have a barbecue. If this was not enough, the Mango Groves development has also put aside further land to act as a communal area, making use of the stunning trees and foliage to make home for a small Banta bar and tables for those who want to meet outside of their own home.

The beach is a 20-minute walk, which is along a sandy coastal path. This leads to the beautiful unspoilt beach of The Gambia. Once again a small Banta bar has been erected from bamboo and palm leaves. Along with small canopies and loungers for shade. Here local Mango Groves staff will take your order of cold drinks, providing you with uninterrupted sanctuary. This is what a home or vacation should be about first.
